| 1 week until I move to my new apt and 10 days until I start work! I can't believe my 5 weeks of freedom are almost over...I've mostly bummed around my grandpa's house...helping my mom watch this 9 month old boy (he's so cute).

I also went to Las Vegas for 5 days with my parents and my brother. Other than the heat (avg 110 degrees but dry so kinda bearable) it was a great place for vacation. It was pretty easy to travel from hotel to hotel...5 dollars a day for the public buses. We went to see two shows, both Cirque du Soleil (Mystere and Ka). They were fabulous....Mystere being more circus showy and Ka being more storyline based...We were 6 rows away from the front the stage for Mystere...I could see the ppl's faces so clearly and was so nervous at some of the stuff they were doing...the most nervous was the "hand to hand" guys moving...one really strong man supported another really strong man as he moved his body. I could see their muscles tighten (and shaking a little at times) as they moved from pose to pose.
We weren't as close with Ka...but I guess it's ok because it was last minute tickets (I asked for two single seats, just Remus and I went) the lady at the counter said it was completely sold out...and didn't even let me say that we didn't have to sit together...but I got tickets by phone....the stage was really cool because it was it could move three dimensionally...

This part was one of my favorites. That guy on the very top is jump roping. The circles are going around and the people inside are moving them around manually.
We also went on a tour...to the Hoover Dam...which I thought was a good choice because the Saturday that we came back, we saw Transformers (go see it and you'll know...it's good too). I actually knew before seeing Transformers that they'll have somethin about the Hoover Dam because the Hoover Dam has posters of all the movies that were filmed there. It's also a power plant so that was another reason why I wanted to go see it. My battery died during the tour, so some pics I couldn't adjust it to take a pic (like the one below). I took a pic at being in two states at the same though.
Oh and they're building this bridge that is being built for security reasons and it's going to be the highest bridge in the nation (it would go above my family's head if it were finished building). In Transformers, only a few poles to support the bridge were on each side. Also, at the dam, at the building that had Nevada's time, there was a chain that said only authorized people could pass. (If you remember the movie, that's where they entered).
Anyways, Vegas was really fun. What also made it great was how I made it like a CSI tour (I was thinking of starting one if no one's done it yet).
The pic on the left is the roller coaster Grissom rode after an episode in the first season and the second is an aqueduct that could have been the one that they found a dead guy after a storm. Also, they did an episode on Ka and numerous episodes with UNLV.
I have more pics..I'll probably put it on facebook sometime later.
I'm pretty glad that I chose Las Vegas for my final trip before work starts, and I can't wait to go again!
I'm adding a few pics I took when we went to the Star Trek Experience at the Hilton. It's a food replicator. I ordred Glob on a stick and another dish.

And this is for the Star Trek fans.
